What We Offer

Sunday School
There are two Sunday School classes for children offered during Sunday morning services September to June. Pre-school and school-age. Children enjoy the opening 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed for age-appropriate activities and lessons in their classes.
There is a teen class offered on the second and third Sunday of each month, September to June. The teens also participate in the opening 15-20 minutes of the service before going to their class.
Family Sunday
The last Sunday of each month is designated as Family Sunday. On those Sundays there are no Sunday School classes. The children stay in the service with the adults, the Pastor makes an effort to make his message intergenerationally enjoyable and applicable, and the monthly cup offering is received.
Coffee, Juice, and Cookies are served at the end of each Family Sunday Service.
Small Groups
We strongly advise people to join a midweek small group both as a means of enhancing their own spiritual growth and as a means of entering into mutually encouraging relationship with other believers.
Alpha – a series of 15 lessons and discussions around the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith – is a good starting point.
Other small groups and seminars are offered periodically either centered around a particular book of the Bible or a specific topic of interest.
Contact the Church Office for information on what groups are presently being offered. office@newhopeshawville.com

Resources
Believing that there are many great and helpful resources available to assist believers in their faith journey, New Hope offers these two to all attendees and friends.
Our Library has a great variety of Bible study aids, books encouraging believers to grow in their faith, and Christian fiction books. The library is located at the back of the Worship space.
Bookstore
In partnership with Bert’s Books and Measure One Music, a Christian bookstore operates out of the New Hope building on Wednesdays, 1:00 – 3:30pm.
A percentage of the proceeds is contributed to New Hope’s food security projects.
Vacation Bible School
New Hope has a long history of partnering with Bethel Pentecostal Church and Grace Community Bible Church to provide an annual VBS in August. VBS includes fun and interactive Bible Stories, Games, Creative expressions, and music. The annual VBS is generally attended by over 100 children.
